
Life: Reflection and Gratitude
Implementing a daily gratitude practice has done enormous things for my mental health. You cannot be both sad and grateful at the same time. Gratitude lifts us up, ligthens the spirit. Take a moment today to reflect on all you have accomplished and what you are grateful for in your life.

Faith can have a different meaning for each and every one of us. To some, faith is a formal religion. To others it is just a steadfast belief that the Universe is guiding our lives in the direction it is meant to go. To others it is something else entirely. We all have faith in our lives, even if it is just faith that you will get through the day on your own two feet.
To celebrate the change of season I always like to do a big clean. Of my living space, my dressers, my closets. Everything gets scrubbed and scrutinized. And those things that don’t serve me anymore are found a new home. To me, getting rid of the old is such a good way to embrace the new.
I have heard that writing a letter to your past self is a good way to release any emotions or regrets you may have about your past. I sometimes have a hard time letting go of the path I took in my past.
Life isn’t always going to be all fun and games 100% of the time. The downs can be significant, life defining even. And what matters is how you handle them.
hate how technology perpetuates our fast paced, “I want it now” society. These days the world is at our fingertips and we expect quick results, immediate answers. I think it is so sad when I see a family out at a restaurant and all of the children have tablets in front of them.
Do you like change or is it something that you avoid like the plague? Take a moment and really think about where you fall in this spectrum. Are you maybe in a current position that you don’t really like but are scared to leave because you are afraid you may fail or afraid of the uncertainty of trying something new? Or are you a frequent changer, always looking for the next opportunity and not scared to take on new adventure?
It is easy to get swept up in the craziness that is my life and not express gratitude regularly to those things and people in my life that truly deserve it.
Now, only after choosing the unbeaten path, do I truly have an understanding of those words and the profound impact they can have on your life.
Just like a bear after a long winter’s nap, I am emerging happier, healthier, and more refreshed. I am ready to slowly come back out into the open. To write again to you all about how I’m feeling and how I work every day to live as natural and authentic a life as I possibly can.
